Our territory offers very good conditions for cycling, outdoors, all year round. The successive development of cycle-discovery loops , Voie Verte and ViaRhôna , have led to the development of hiking in all its forms.

Cycle tourism
The cyclo-tourist routes are aimed at people looking for “leisure” activities for the Gard Camargue loop (17 km) and “sports” for the Costières loop (23 km).
They can form only one of 40 km for the amateurs! The cycle routes are marked and are located on "shared roads" between bicycles and cars, but selected for their low traffic and limited speed.
Departure: Greenway of Vauvert, Tourist Office, and Port of Gallician
The "Voie Verte"
The Voie Verte is a dedicated, secure route, accessible to all and reserved exclusively for non-motorized travel: pedestrians, cyclists, rollerbladers and people with reduced mobility. From Vauvert to Gallician , 7 km of 3 m wide track , offer a route with few elevation changes and intersections with roads.
It runs along the Philippe Lamour irrigation canal and is connected to the cyclo-discovery loop of the Gard Camargue at each of its ends.

The ViaRhôna
It is a cycle route ( Eurovélo 17 ) along the Rhône and the Rhône-Sète canal, which links Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Sea over nearly 700 km.
It's a nice walk to do from the Gallician marina and Espiguette beach in Grau-du-Roi or while roaming from Saint-Gilles.
You will take the old towpaths of the canal without missing the view of the marshes from the Tour Carbonnière, before reaching Aigues-Mortes, a medieval fortified town, then discovering the coast.
