André is one of the few Camargue sagneurs!
You can visit his workshop and watch a demonstration of how to make a reed mat. These mats are used to cover the arbors and roofs of herdsmen's houses.
Reed beds are marshes that are almost entirely occupied by reeds. These marshes are "closed" par excellence, and some cover several hundred hectares in a single area around the Scamandre and Charnier ponds.
Services : Short circuit tour (3 hours and more): On the Vauvert site outdoors, making a bundle of reeds with demonstration of the cutting machine. On the Aimargues site, in the workshop, manual demonstration of the doormat manufacturing machine (unique, patented) with making of a doormat.
Capacity: groups of 6 to 40 people maximum.
Public reception
