Between two waters
Exhibition by Isabelle Barruol
All audiences - Free
Isabelle Barruol's recent work on water and clouds naturally finds its place in the Camargue, an intermediate land nourished by the arms of the Rhône where fresh water and sea water mix. And because the gaze is directed here, it is also a place of confrontations between terrestrial and celestial waters, sea and mist, clouds and marshes gathered on the horizon.
I was first interested in the theme of water in its most ethereal form, that of reflection, a play of light in motion that creates an abstraction of the real world. Later my fascination focused on water in all its volatile, unstable and moving states, states in between such as mist and its blurs, clouds or snow – Isabelle Barruol, visual artist
